Our History

The Seven Bar and Grill restaurant brand operates in 5 provinces, including Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba, Quebec and now Alberta. Established in the year 2000, the restaurant has become famous for offering a blend of French and British cuisine heavily influenced by the prevailing availability of local seasonal produce. Seven partners with local farmers, food specialty stores and wineries to offer guests a chance to enjoy a truly regional representation of local cuisine. With the restaurant’s trademark red and brown decor, Seven has become an easily recognizable brand for food connoisseurs across the country.

We strive to keep our menus simple, focusing on producing the most savory dishes possible using minimal ingredients so as to appeal to even the fussiest palate. We accommodate as wide a range of clientele as well, with vegetarian dishes available upon request. Our staff have years of experience catering to client needs and include the service of in-house sommeliers who specialize in Canadian wines. While we do offer an extensive wine list, we do encourage our guests to try locally produced wines from renowned wineries as the Chinook Arch Meadery and the En Santé Winery. The restaurant’s owner, Philip H. Gracy, is not only a renowned restaurateur, but also one of the founding judges of the Canadian Wine Awards.
